Holds a special place for me because I’m the year of the dragon and next new year is my zodiac sign. So I created a pattern that represents me  

A fun and cute pattern inspired by my friend's furry friend

Based off the idea of the start of something as the caterpillar is the start of a butterfly. I sketched out differing poses a caterpillar would make and I played with layering two patterns. 

Came from how I would spend my childhood summers looking for crabs and shells to take home. This was the first pattern where I created a spot illustration rather than a pattern for the bandanna. 

Was inspired by my interest in bats and how they move when they fly. I experimented with having a wider color palette than I was used to. It inspired a new pattern approach that steered away from pure silhouttes
